I’m the kind of artist that makes GIFs for fun and to capture fleeting communication. I identify my creative practice as interdisciplinary, often combining dimensions and fields of study; I find ways to mediate 2D, 3D, 4D, other art forms involving movement, sound, and play, with amateur sciences. The social practice that results from my artworks becomes the lubrication between spaces of creative and community friction.

I was born in Talisay, Batangas, Philippines, raised in Virginia, and have a professional studio practice in the United States. I run my business under my artist name and D/ND/N Projects (pronounced ‘Din-Din’). I’ve received artist fellowships to support my career and my projects have been exhibited internationally in Canada and South Korea. Two permanent public art projects are installed in Virginia and I’ve installed many temporary public art projects in Washington. My leadership was involved in the formation of a new city art district, the NEON Art district in Norfolk, VA as a source for arts community placemaking. I’ve managed and grown arts programming for youth and underserved communities through Governor’s School for the Arts and Arts Corps. My dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility has addressed systemic oppression directly--with diplomacy and informed best practices, I have brought policy changes and reparation for the benefit of those in need of compassionate consideration in places like Apex Belltown Coop. Through grassroots community programming funded by 4Culture and Elsewhere Museum and Residency, I focused on delivering projects to neurodiverse audiences of different backgrounds by transforming non-traditional exhibition spaces into sensory-friendly art-rich environments. In all my artmaking endeavors I am seeking a deeper understanding of the communities I move through.

TLDR: I love cats and I am allergic to pennies.
